I'd like to know why there hasn't been more of a response to Trump putting sanctions on the ICC and many of it's top leaders. There are 125 High Contracting Powers. Some of them are very powerful. What's the hold-up?

And I'm not talking about statements of support.

People are so illiterate re how social change happens that they can't recognize that it's people who push other people to change their political calculus. WHY are your enemies having to shift & change course? What people & social forces have made them do so? They aren't "just magically" shifting.

You can't talk oppression, disenfranchisement, or caste in America without tracing the treads of how they came about.

Nearly all of the -isms and -phobias you name can be traced back to racism and anti-Blackness.

Which is again, racism and the result of 400 years of chattel slavery.

We need to build some real social stigma around being afraid of cities. You don't have to like them or live there, but a politics built this strongly around watching TV and going "ewww" is embarrassing, and people should be embarrassed by it. It's like "fear of werewolves" being your top issue.

Nichols is a good example of a white person who doesn't understand that fascism can be unevenly distributed. Just because YOU aren't experiencing it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. This is loser shit.

The issue is many put their trust in a man who is not trustworthy and hasn’t been for his life. The victims of Epstein are learning this just like farmers, people on Medicaid & SNAP, etc.
“I feel extremely betrayed.” Haley Robson, a Jeffrey Epstein abuse survivor who voted for Trump on what she would say to him to try and understand why he's breaking his 2024 campaign promise to release the Epstein files and continuing to, as Robson says, make himself look guilty.

People getting mad here about anyone saying it's good that MTG and Trump are fighting. I teach democratization every semester. The first slide says 'elite fracture.' That's always where it starts. It's good when people with bad politics are fighting one another.
I do not regret to inform you that we are going to win
BASH: We have seen these attacks from the president at other people. It's not new. And I haven't heard you speak out about it until it was directed at you.

MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE: I think that's fair criticism. And I would like to say, humbly, I'm sorry for taking part in the toxic politics.

You can think it’s good that Massie and MTG are stirring up shit within the GOP caucus without thinking their politics in general is good. It’s not hard at all in fact?

I don't think she's using the metric you assume, I think she's speaking from experience as a First Lady & reacting to the sum total of how America reacts to the idea of women having agency over their own bodies, finances, and futures. The stats on sexual assault, domestic violence, & femicide.
Personally, I think the idea that all women should be measured by the failures of Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris is actually a sort of sexist doomerism.

I hate that we now have to live without this phenomenal woman.

Alice Wong taught us that disabled people don’t just leave memories behind—they leave infrastructure. Lineages of care. Methods of collectivity, survival. She named the connective tissue that holds our communities together, even across death, even across the losses that come too fast and too often.

Chickens coming home to roost moment.
Obviously no one should have to go through this but also what does she think happens to people she attacks? She can see what her audience does! Probably rude to say, but it’s worth stressing that the (rightful) disgust she feels is the taste of her own medicine.
