I know 😭 tbh I hate the subscription service model for most software (I do not feel it has benefitted me once in the decade plus I’ve been using Adobe Creative Cloud for example) but I do think it would solve the very specific bloat + overlapping features problem of the “forever” TS4 plan

anything purchased pre-switch would have to remain individually owned! 😰but a subscription model would grant access to all new releases and previously released packs, so that content can build on past releases instead of ignoring them and having to recreate the wheel

This is why — and take a deep breath because this is my most controversial sims opinion — TS4 should be on a subscription model. 😬

They should have made the shift as soon as they decided to make TS4 a "forever" game. Perhaps back in 2023 when they made base game free to play? If not earlier.

I've realized say my problem with TS4 is that it has aged into bloat. At first, everyone said TS4 was too empty, but now it's the opposite: it's just too much: too many systems overlapping and not working well together, notifications etc. There was a sweet spot a few years ago, but it's over.

I got excited when I noticed the angles because I’d been under the assumption that these were build mode elements (stilted foundations, steps, railings, ladders, etc) but after squinting at it more, the proportions do seem fixed (ie the diagonal version doesn’t seem wider) so…🥲 a little less hopeful

Brindleton Bay was the template for Gibbi Point in the same way Windenburg was for Nordhaven.
