Will these protests protect our country? I think they’ll help. For those of us in deep red states, like South Carolina, the rallies give a huge morale boost. Hopefully they give Congress the push to uphold their oath of office and to defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies.

A MAGA supporter tells me that protest will change nothing.
I respond by saying that I, myself, was changed. I became hopeful again. I knew I wasn’t alone. I was honored to be among true patriots who loved this country and wanted to protect it.

I’ve said it before but reading all the medieval history books I’ve been reading lately has been so comforting. Makes you realize that there have always been mad and incompetent kings and they almost always die in ignominy and everyone piles shit on them for centuries after they’re gone.

Mayor Karen Bass just told me that there was a kids summer camp in MacArthur Park when the federal agents in camp and long guns swooped in and they had to be brought inside so they didn’t get completely freaked out.
