Trying out @11ty.dev with Webc. Pretty pretty pretty nice! Enjoyable experience so far and is-island a nice addition. Between Lit, Svelte, Astro and 11ty there's a lot of good frontend options these days for a whole range of sites/component models.

Primary them all and block anybody who comes with the “at this crucial juncture the most important thing is that we win.” if they believed that they wouldn’t do this and with friends like them nobody needs enemies
Here are the 28 Dem Senators who voted to advance the first federal ban on trans athletes & a federal definition of sex that would make trans & intersex people non-existent: Angela Alsobrooks (MD), Tammy Baldwin (WI), Richard Blumenthal (CT), Lisa Blunt Rochester (DE), Chris Coons (DE), ->
By a vote of 76-23, S 1071 passes the motion to proceed to the motion to concur. Won't know who voted for this until the roll call is uploaded, but safe to say it passed with the support of at least 24 members of the Democratic caucus. (Rand Paul probably voted nay and Steve Daines has been absent).

The hot dog vs sandwich debate is concluded.

If the Earth is sandwiched, everything is a sandwich.

HAPPY EARTH SANDWICH DAY!

Amazing and great use of real art!
Made a site comparing the sizes of living things :)

The great Julius Csotonyi spent 5 months painting over 60 illustrations for the site, no ai used

Maybe to counter all this nonsense, we have to start something like the Conversation Gym, crossfit for actual human interaction.

You have to do the reps, bro.

Any artists out here wanna do a little collabo? I wanna illustrate or get some illustrations based on the Bob and Doug McKenzie "12 days of Christmas" song. Kinda thinking mad magazine sort of look. No idea what the budget is yet. Probably for a fundraiser so maybe not great TBH.

Man the AI image generation is getting scary good. Still very soulless of course. Sending good vibes to all illustrators out there that now compete with this stuff!

Charlie Brown Xmas album is the best Xmas music. Just the most relaxing and cozy jazz you can imagine. Nostalgic in a way that's hard to describe, given it came out well before I was born. That and the Grinch have an analogue feel that I can't really describe but is so a part of the season. 🦶🏈🥜🌲

Back to playing around with three JS, having a lot of fun. If you've never given it a try go for it. Frontend but not the usual DOM etc. Web GL and canvas are a whole other thing. You never know when you might want something in 3d either so good skill to have passing familiarity with (like SVG)

I just wanna make great stuff like this. Is that too much to ask? Side note: indie/weird web doing old school layouts and taking it back to some earlier 2000s aesthetics is something I really enjoy in 2025.

Didn't know about this - smart feature, probably should be default for like a week at least
Using Dependabot and worried about NPM supply-chain attacks?

Enable `cooldown` periods to delay potentially risky package updates.

This helps prevent newly published, unvetted packages from being automatically introduced through GitHub pull requests.

I like to come on bksy for the positive vibes and get sucked into a CSS or web components hole. I mean really I could do a lot worse and have done with alternative platforms in the past. I like how my "time wasted" here is generally still net positive. 👍 Keep up the good work folks👍
