Here it is, the first issue of #RoguesGallery. I worked with book publishers doing non-fiction comics for about 10 years, and there was always an offer to adapt classic literature. Despite the fact that in retrospect it was a financial blunder to say no, I was never interested-- why reinterpret it? Why recreate it? It felt unnecessary.
Now to getting kids reading.
This made me laugh. Like actually.
I am 35 in a month, and I can remember being bought manga Hamlet and never reading it. This has been happening for a long time already. This is not the way to get kids reading classic literature.
