My high school junior has been reduced to tears multiple times this year, because her English teacher requires them to run all their papers through AI to make sure it won’t be flagged as AI when she grades them. 3 times AI has told my child, whom I watched write the paper, that AI wrote the paper.

Got my first bag of potato chips in months. Cracked it open. The first chip out of the bag was... soggy?
The second chip was almost fungal.
Baffled, I explored the bag and discovered AN ENTIRE POTATO. Unsliced, brined, like a wad of seasoning juice. It had survived, and now was juicing the chips.

I know I'm just grumpy about this because I am rural, but rural people have been integral to many socialist and liberation movements, including the one responsible for many pillars of social democracy in Canada today. Current centre/left parties in Canada and the US have just largely written us off.
