In a world where Trump is president, be Jimmy Carter...

@schumer.senate.gov has no plan, he's just not willing to give up his ride on the gravy train.
Remember that the only 3 things politicians care about is making money, staying elected, and screwing over the other party. Worry about constituents only occurs if it benefits one of the first 3.

Trump has literally given a deadline to a plan which never even existed. He just read of it in the press, leaked by Russians, and just said:

“Ukrainians have to accept it.”

The level of this incompetence or malice or both is just remarkable.

Today is 92nd anniversary of Holodomor. Soviet Russia inflicted a man made famine on Ukraine that killed millions. Today we are trying to wipe the country off the map.

The only difference is the USA is on our side now.

Tyranny
The teenager told officers he was a U.S. citizen, but an officer broke the car’s driver’s side window and detained him. In a video, the boy can be heard telling an officer that he is a citizen, to which the officer replies, “Get out of the car” and “I don’t care.”

If you receive an illegal order, you have a duty to disobey.

This isn’t controversial.

A President calling for the execution of anyone who reminds service members of this oath is showing us why the duty to disobey illegal orders is so important in the first place.

For what it’s worth, as a commander and officer it was my duty, moral obligation, and legal requirement to first question and then to not obey any illegal order I was given.

The same is true for everyone who swear their oath.

Hope that clears things up.

Before the midterms of 1866, President Andrew Johnson called his congressional opponents traitors and said they should be hanged.

Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.

This will surely surprise most Americans today, but historians have recently discovered that before Donald Trump, it was actually incredibly rare for a president to demand the public execution of this political opponents and press critics.

Team Trump has calculated that the public seeing whatever is in the Epstein Files is worse for Trump than a never-ending "why won't they release the Epstein Files" drumbeat. Every decision they've made re: Epstein is consistent with that, and I don't see any indication they've changed their minds.
