Supporting Gavin Newsom in the primary is announcing that you'll step over the dead bodies of trans people and unhoused people to get what you personally want. It's a character defect. We can't be friends.

again we do not really do a good job of explaining how wealthy people like Jeff Bezos are

his net worth is $253.2 billion.
so he could take one million dollars, and just light it on fire
and then do it again tomorrow
and again the day after that
and then do it every day for 693 years and 8 months

I’m no Trump supporter but the Melania doc isn’t as bad as some are saying. The part where she’s watching work on the East Wing & her eyes roll back in her head & she unhinges her jaw & eats a contractor’s head & arm is amazing.

So many lawyers says this and yet *re-formers* continue to boost them. I understand why people who don't know anything promote them.
Absolutely! I do state criminal appeals, and all I see is body camera footage used to convict. And often the part that might be helpful to the accused is (take your pick) obscured by my coat, my partner didn’t turn his on, that first portion has no sound, I was facing away, etc….

It's impossible to express how it feels to repeatedly live through the exact same cycles over and over and over again. The reformers just consistently fucking everyone over.

The more ICE is in the streets, the more violence they’re going to inflict on people. It’s just that simple. They’re the provocateurs, not the people

what mn state and local government is telling all of us is that we can be killed without consequence and that we must be eternally calm, lest something terrible happens

I can't put into words the feeling of watching our government, a hive of evil antisocial filth, the absolute worst humanity has to offer, colliding with the best. Ordinary people trying to help each other, risking everything to stand up for what's plainly, unambiguously fair and right. It's unreal

In Weimar Germany, the opposition was the Center Party — and it was crushed.

There’s a lesson there.

Last time ICE murdered someone in the street (~2 weeks ago) they spent the rest of day trying to kidnap people in the rest of the city, & pepper sprayed/tear-gassed a highschool.
Keep an eye on your own block, yr own neighborhood, yr own people.
It's still early in the day and they're everywhere.

This is absolutely what the video shows. A person is wrestled to the ground by 6 ICE agents and then executed at point blank range.

I'm sorry for the person who was beat to death and killed. My sincere condolences to their loved ones. ICE is going to continue to kill people because the purpose of a system is what it does. It is not what it says it does or what you hope it does. Maybe USians will finally confront this truth.

Corey Booker announcing his legislation to make ICE wear body cameras a week after the entire Republican Party excused an ICE officer murdering somebody by showing the video the officer took with his own cell phone of him murdering them is a testament to how stupid Democrats think all of us are.
