Postdoc position in my lab: investigating how the microtubule motor protein dynein-2 works in cilia.

Here's dynein-2 at work translocating microtubules - how is this activity regulated? How does dynein-2 malfunction in disease?

Find out more and apply:

Unique opportunity to join the CytoMorpho Lab (in Paris ❤️) as a postdoc to work on the self-organization and polarization of reconstituted networks made of microtubules, motors and actin filaments in vitro. Experience required.
Please Repost 🙏 thanks !

Glad to share our last manuscript on a luminescent sensor we created to unveil novel potentially actionable regulators of β1 integrin activation in vascular endothelial cells and angiogenesis. @cp-cellreports.bsky.social www.cell.com/cell-reports...
• β1 integrin activation sensor (β1IAS) reports β1 integrin activation in response to biochemical and physical stimuli

• siRNA HTS on β1IAS KI endothelial cells unveils unknown regulators of β1 integrin activation

• E3 ubiquitin ligase Pja2 promotes kindlin-2 degradation and inhibits β1 integrin activation

• VEGF-B is a so far unrecognized effective inhibitor of β1 integrin activation

Deeply saddened by the passing of Prof. Mike Sheetz, a true leader in Mechanobiology. His groundbreaking work on Kinesin, membrane organization, and mechanotransduction has left an indelible mark. A tremendous loss to science. #Mechanobiology #Science #LaskerAward

Clathrin-coated pits, plaques, and adhesion... This post is dedicated to Christien Merrifield, who left us far too soon around this time in 2017. His memory continues to inspire 🔬

Christien has inspired a great deal of work on endocytosis and the cytoskeleton. He was one of my scientific reference when I was a postdoc. Later, I was lucky enough to be his lab neighbor in France before his tragic death. I remember him as a highly creative and passionate scientist. We miss him.

I didn't find a specific mechanotransduction starter pack, so I open one myself😊. There are still a lot of people to be added, but it's late, so please drop me a message or post here to nominate yourself for the Mechanotransduction community.

Recently, I joined @actin-paris-saclay.bsky.social team as an Assoc. Prof. 🎉
There I will continue to explore the feedback between the physics of the cytoplasm and cytoskeleton dynamics using in cellulo and in vitro approaches.

I am looking forward to interacting with you all here.
