a bit I used to do was pretend to try to convince a gal I was seeing that we'd gone to a showing of Gaslight (1944) on one of our early dates and she'd forgotten. on reruns of the joke I would also insist I'd never done this bit before. went over like the ol' lead balloon I don't mind telling you
