Something I'd like to address. There's this idea that TQ+ folk are all 21 year-old art students... and all the 'normal' old school folk are LGB and entirely left behind and confused by 'pronouns'...

I posit that the last week in November is the *worst* week in the year:
* Everything is still getting darker and colder,
* Christmas/leave is still far enough away that you can't do no work,
* But you start to worry about gifts and planning etc.,
* Early Christmas songs etc. are awful to hear

“Charlie Kirk was a bad person but even bad people don’t deserve to be murdered” is all they have to say. It’s not hard.
I don’t need to be told not to celebrate violence or speak ill of the dead but all this hagiography of Kirk is just absurd. He was a vicious, bigoted troll who devoted his life to making things as shitty as possible for anyone who wasn’t like him. He made the discourse worse in every possible way.

Seconds later, having read the Telegraph piece I knew it was worse than that. It was deliberate hate mongering completely devoid of evidence, names and facts.

Between AI, shovelware, the mass colonisation of all available space by ads, and the Online Safety Act outsourcing age verification, the internet is at serious risk of becomin completely unusable. As bad as regular TV is, I've never had five ad breaks in 30 minutes of a single video like on YouTube.
