58 points for Hutson. 53 assists. 2 back of Chelios for 2nd in assists all-time rookie.
The greatest rookie season for points in the history of the NHL.

Lane Hutson is 10th. The other nine all from an era when the total goals in a game averaged 11; not 6.

When Trump was sworn in, Elon Musk's corporations were under more than 32 investigations conducted by at least 11 federal agencies.

Most of the cases are now closed or likely to be closed soon, and the federal agencies are being defanged by DOGE.

Funny how that works, huh?

This is so clearly corrupt.

Also note it is coming from a news source that doesn’t prostrate itself for access.

FWIW, we are now @wired.com subscribers.
NEW: President Trump is hosting group and 1-1 dinners at Mar-a-Lago for $1M and $5M per seat, respectively. The've already become a "hot ticket" for business leaders.

Where's the money going? Unclear, though one source said it would fund Trump's presidential library.

Ironic that during the Summit Series, the USSR was the evil empire.

A bit more than 50 years later, it's the 4 Nations and the U.S. is the evil empire.

What Trump hath wrought.

What these nihilistic vandals are doing to dismantle science & medicine—generations of expertise & public service & life improving benefits—is cultural revolution level national self harm. At Cabaret yesterday, Cliff said his line “…if you’re not against all this then you’re for it. Or you might as well be”. The audience interrupted the scene to applaud that line so strongly it stopped the show. Doing a show about the onset of fascism right now is. . . chilling.

*Such* an important point.

It is only when tech-bro/finance savant talks about something *you know directly* that you realize: "If I hadn't heard he was a 'genius' I'd think he sounds like an absolute idiot"

Musk has made mistake of delving into gov/media world lots of people actually know about.
this is what long-time Elon watchers call "The Realization": when Elon stumbles into your area of expertise, and you realize everyone just gives the guy the benefit of the doubt because he talks about complicated things people don't pay attention to
I’ve been thinking about how monumentally stupid the Elon video game cheating thing is and I think it comes back to this post

there aren’t a ton of people who work in cars, or rockets, or even software

but everyone - everyone! - understands cheating at video games

totally unnecessary self-own

Something I'd like an expert in original Gilded Age to write:

Overall, are the plutocrats of this era—Musk, Bezos, Zuckerberg, Thiel etc—greedier, ethically weaker, and more globally destructive than their earlier counterparts?

Or not quite as bad? A toss-up?

Look forward to reading the answer.
