It’s true that medieval people were very ignorant compared to us today. For instance, they would panic over mysterious apparitions in the sky, or believe that a strongman leader was blessed by God.

Have I got this right?

Republicans object to enhanced gun control and/or banning automatic weapons under the guise of protecting the constitution (2nd amendment) but when it comes to birthright citizenship (14th amendment) the constitution is fair game.

I'd appreciate a share for more responses.

Tory trade barriers with the EU increased average annual shopping bills by £250, so trying to increase disposable income without making trade easier is like driving with the handbrake on.

FWIW: Farmland owners (not necessarily farmers) passing on assets over 3m (after allowances) will still be paying half the rate, with more allowances, in over 20x the time allowed than many people whose descendants also rely on the assets being passed down to continue in business.

The deep goal of bluesky is to decentralize the social internet so that every individual controls their experience of it rather than having it be controlled by 5 random billionaires. Everyone thinks they signed up for a demuskified twitter...we actually signed an exciting and bizarre experiment.

£715 million on a political PR stunt which everyone knew was absolutely pointless. Just think what that could have been spent on to actually help people, locals and people seeking asylum.
In July, I FOI'd the Home Office for the full breakdown of spending on the Rwanda scheme

I was refused because the government planned to publish the data in future, and today is the day. These numbers are in millions

You: "I certainly did, and I couldn't help but notice they were struggling to move the ball out of midfield even more than supply chains will struggle in the face of an unpredictable and protectionist US trade policy."
