There are about 3500 billionaires on the planet. There are 8.2 billion people.

This is the easiest trolley problem ever devised.

Insurance companies don’t pay for new discoveries, nor do they support doctors. They complicate the system and act as rentiers without adding value.

Mr. Cuban, I'm a professor at Yale School of Public Health. Here's a paper published by one of my colleagues in the top medical journal evaluating the Medicare for All Act, which would not only get us there, but would save $450B per year. Happy to discuss! www.thelancet.com/journals/lan...

1. The same they're being paid now

2. None

3. Then they don't get paid

4. You don't just raise taxes on billionaires. You raise taxes proportionally across the board, which would still be less costly than what people pay for private insurance premiums

Let me know if I can help with anything else

You're not a savior, Mark. You're greedy. A ton of people do the labor in the businesses you're invested in and you take most of the profits.

I hope you're visited by as many ghosts as it takes to become a better person.

The current structure also forces tax payers to bear the burden of emergency treatment of those who are uninsured because of the high cost of health insurance. Having them within the same insurance fold would also contribute to overall reduction in healthcare costs.

It's really simple, Cuban.

Insurance companies provide nothing innovative. There is no *need* for insurance to be for-profit.

Hope this helps.
