I prefer most foods kinda warm. I let hot foods cool down because I have a sensitive baby mouth (if it's steaming, it's too hot), and I like to microwave cold and room temp foods (pasta salad, sandwiches, most baked goods) for 15-25 seconds to take the chill off.

I don't think some people understand the romantic era or the gothic very well tbh.

a large part of the gothic is the tension between what is deemed repulsive and what is deemed attractive (I know you know this) and a lot of ppl lol some who are on the gothic train now are like huh?

A new study in the Southeastern US concludes that it's pointless to try to stop the spread of coyotes. Well, duh. Better to coexist. Besides, I once saw a coyote use a crosswalk... while someone jaywalked 50 feet away. So they may be smarter than us.

"Vax & relax" was one of the worst public health slogans in my life. It both a) wildly mislead & didn't stop spread, b) profoundly undermined the public's trust in health messaging because either it's serious & the slogan was wrong OR they'll never believe covid's serious again.

Just a reminder that the CDC's guidance during the Biden admin was largely based on economic factors and not to do with Covid changing.

They changed the isolation from 10 to 5 days because airlines demanded it, despite knowing that you are still contagious after 5 days, and everyone bought it.
