Hmmm. #twitter How the great have fallen.

All your content belongs to us, well, Elon actually.

Don't post anything on it, ever and clearly avoid buying anything that guy is involved with.

Musk is laughing at us. There is *nothing* that’s decent or free or safe about being on X.

The only responsible ‘counter narrative’ to stem the profound damage X is doing to society and democracy is to leave it, or - better still - to shut it down.

The EU and UK should shut down X just as they shut down RT - and in fact I think it is likely that they will eventually. The question is, how much damage will be done by then?

That we have food banks is a testament to the fundamental generosity and kindness of people. That we need food banks - and that governments crow jubilantly about how many we have - is a savage indictment of how broken our society is.

Married someone from another country and the best perk is their family thinks I don't understand the language, so I'm always "excused" from the endless in-law debates. I just smile, nod, and enjoy the peace.

I don't care whether it was intentional or not, inventing a peace prize to award Trump because he's clearly never going to win a Nobel one is top tier trolling. That he's too stupid to even realise that is just the icing on the cake.

One should always be suspicious when the state resists disclosure of documents.

And one should be more suspicious when the state suddenly purports to agree to the disclosure of documents.

So today I found out that my TED talk ‘This is What a Digital Coup Looks Like’ was TED’s most watched talk of the year.

It’s sort of amazing & terrifying. Because this *is* what a digital coup looks like.

Reform accepted £9 million from a former Boris Johnson backer & crypto-multimillionaire.

Today, Nigel Farage postures as a righteous defender of the same democracy he actively undermines.

Democracy should never be for sale. It's time for a cap on political donations.
