Just, you know, going out on a limb, but if states constitutionally don’t have to act as instruments of federal law enforcement, seems like a campaign of terror against the civilian population to coerce them to do so ought also to be unconstitutional.

I really wish this country would invest in modern high speed intercity trains & local public transit so bad it makes me sad realizing that cities like Denver could be world class with an extra $5 billion to add some tunnels around downtown + upgrade legacy lines + build out front range rail

I recognize that the bill uniting the democrats is something that could reasonably pass a Republican controlled legislature and behind closed doors should be what they are rallying around, but it shouldn’t be the starting point of public negotiations. Senate dems just suck at actual politics.
