Progress!! 😃
Managed to do an online delivery because I'm no longer in a place which is so rural that they can't go or so poor that they won't go.

Wave of the future. I bought a load of heavy stuff and @archivedelver.bsky.social need never have to be taken around the supermarket like a petulant 5 year old again

The BBC we need. 👍
Make me the new DG of the BBC and I will make it wall-to-wall history documentaries, and then spend the other 50% of the budget on paying Aardman to make Wallace and Gromit films for the next 100 years.

From the Barnabas Aid prayer diary for this day - a sobering reminder of the realities of IS persecution of Christians in this region. The lack of outrage at and condemnation of this ongoing violence is a profound failure on the part of Churches in the West.

Today's album is The Beach Boys Love You, the last truly great Beach Boys album, and maybe their greatest. Almost a solo album by Brian, it would seem like the only intelligent response by a sixties act to punk, if I thought Brian Wilson had ever heard a punk record.

I’m disappointed no one has thought to do a mark of the beast thing about this.

And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark … that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Rev 13:16-17

Richard Moore is extraordinary. Blinded by a soldier in Derry when he was 10, Richard went on to found Children In Crossfire, an international body tackling trauma and poverty in conflict zones and An Crann a project to help people safely share experiences of the Troubles. This piece is very moving.
