Do people actually go "hmmm I wasn't going to play this mobile slop game before, but now that I've got a THIRD x button from this in-app ad, I might as well try it"?

Like it's gotta work on someone if they keep doing it, right???

“Then came the chaos. Within days, Claudius had given away nearly all its inventory for free—including a PlayStation 5 it had been talked into buying for ‘marketing purposes.’ It ordered a live fish. It offered to buy stun guns, pepper spray, cigarettes and underwear.”

Don’t let AI run anything.

The "no brown M&M's clause" existed long before ChatGPT came along to test if people really read something.

Van Halen had a clause in their concert riders about having bowl of M&M's and much later saying no brown ones. Safety required the venue's crew really read the doc.
Seeing brown M&Ms was 🚩.
The Truth About Van Halen And Those Brown M&Ms
In the 1980s, Van Halen famously banned all brown M&Ms from their dressing room. David Lee Roth, reunited with the band for a new album and tour, explains why.

All of the companies that make the software I use are increasing their prices, to account for an "investment" in AI.

I'm sat here imagining how my clients would feel if I added 30% to each invoice, because I "really got into gambling".

Comments fuel artists and creators. They help fledgling projects grow because other people see them and spread the word or interact.

We definitely cherish every single comment we’ve gotten on the comic on any of our platforms - especially the website.

Keep them coming. 🥰
Always and forever grateful to my friends and supporters and people for leaving comments. 💜💜💜

In Monrovia, California, protesters are purchasing 17¢ ICE scrapers from Home Depot and immediately returning them to create long lines and slow down the entire store. Their aim is to disrupt sales and convey a message opposing ICE raids occurring in their neighborhood.

Some ways people try to get my attention at work instead of saying "ecxuse me": Key jingling, slapping the counter, ramming the service case with carts, noisily rolling carts, screaming at an empty service counter while I stock shelves, whistling, staring at me silently, looming in my blind spot.

Good, now do it everywhere.
Santa Fe is now the first city to tie the minimum wage to the cost of rent.

The Santa Fe City Council voted to raise its minimum wage from $15/hr to $17.50 by 2027 — but they also added another provision.

Future increases will factor in inflation, and the price of housing.
