Well Ford handed Trump what he wanted but how will Ford explain to auto industry? And of course many US people will not understand that provincial premier not in charge. Sigh….
Trump is posting on Truth Social that he's terminating negotiations with Canada over a "fake" ad criticizing tariffs (that was run by Ontario, and which isn't fake.)

It's all theatre. There was never a deal to be gotten. Trump just wants to claim victory. #giftlink www.thestar.com/opinion/cont...

Today is Persons Day.
This day honours The Persons Case, which ended in a victory for The Famous Five on Oct. 18, 1929. The ruling declared women to be persons under the law and qualified to sit in the Senate.
This is the story of that case.

I have loved Glenn Gould for so long. Was able to take a 6 wk course on Gould that added to my inspiration. We would listen to music, eat the brand of cookies he loved, and learn more about his life.
He was one of the greatest musicians Canada ever produced.
Celebrated for his distinctive piano style and vision, he was called a maverick and genius.
His work in the studio became legendary in a life cut far too short.
This is the story of Glenn Gould.

Canada has recognized the State of Palestine 🇵🇸 a historic step away from U.S. policy.

But recognition isn’t enough. Canada must go further: sanctions, accountability, real support for peace.

CBC is covering it-- because without CBC, we’d only hear the U.S. version.

One of my irritants is the increased powers of provinces- Canadian rights should not shift based on a bias of provincial leaders and fear of federal government to have equivalent rights for all Canada.🇨🇦
Absolutely. Canadian rights should be guaranteed. You can’t lose them by moving from one province to another.
Our rights should be inalienable.

"It argued repeated use of the clause amounts to "indirectly amending the Constitution," and that the court should be able to rule on whether it can result in the "irreparable impairment" of Canadians' rights."
