Reminder that Adam Schiff and the state Democratic party ratfucked the primary election to make sure there was a republican in the other spot instead of Katie Porter or Barbara Lee, both of whom would have made far superior senators for this time.
Bunch of cowards.

This “oh noes trans athletes” is a cooked up grift and these door knobs are falling for it. Primary every single one of them.

Vivian reveals her father, Elon Musk, used sex selection for a male child in advance of her birth.

Malignant narcissists like Musk view their children as self-parts—reflections of them—rather than as separate, unique human beings and often react to a child’s individuation as a narcissistic injury.
My assigned sex at birth was a commodity that was bought and paid for. So when I was feminine as a child and then turned out to be transgender, I was going against the product that was sold.

if you find yourself reluctant to support the guy at Columbia because you find some of the politics he espoused distasteful or even abhorrent, you should know that this is exactly the reaction that they hoped for in choosing him as a target for unlawful detention based on political speech.

Bottom line: Elon's vendetta against USAID and the federal workforce is shredding all of the systems that the USG has built up to protect the US homeland against global outbreak risks.

Scrambling to recall a few staff and issue some belated funding is just window dressing.

Musk has said that he doesn’t think buying Twitter was a waste of money because he didn’t want a monetary return on his investment, but a political one: he bought Twitter to control U.S. political discourse. The think we should understand Bezos’ money-losing propositions at the Post the same way.
When no one wants to read shitty takes xeroxed from heritage written by yes-men he'll no doubt blame his employees instead of himself

This would be a good time to have an actual opposition party instead of one compromised by the same big donors and foreign interests as the other.

It was *never* the responsibility for nonwhite people to confront and educate WW, and if folks think/thought otherwise please examine why you believe POC should do our — I’m speaking as a WW — labor…

The responsibility solely lies with white people, especially other WW.

Get to work.
people are telling me that I need to speak to WW in a way they can relate to because 54% of WW voted for Trump.

The Handmaid's Tale premiered in 2017. The majority of WW voters in 2020 and 2024 voted Trump.

Time to let go of the idea that it is nonwhite people's responsibility to hold WW's hand.
Please stop comparing everything to the Handmaid’s Tale. The Handmaid’s Tale was a story centered on a white woman who clearly was middle to upper middle class. That is not going to be the tale of the primary poor people of color who will bear the brunt of these policies in this country. Stop it.

I really really enjoyed confessions of an ugly stepsister, so I can tell you that at least some of us do like the perspective.
Having bought and read several Gregory Maguire books with mixed feelings (but respect for his perspective) I wonder of the lovers of Wicked will ever attempt to read Lost or Mirror Mirror… or if they really just like the show tunes.

And I replied, "I mean, not on its own, but yeah."

don’t fucking skeet about it
after another long day of browsing old court documents, i just want to remind everyone that if a stranger agrees to do something illegal with you and they keep asking you to say out loud what the illegal plan is, that’s because the officer is recording you.
