CBS News' ugly new surrender to Trump is an open invitation to Trumpers to lie on their network. As today's WaPo piece on this fiasco notes, it would "allow guests to spout falsehoods knowing they would not be edited out by the show."

Texas is the biggest state in the country to have a bathroom ban on the books, and aside from local news and a few national nonprofits, the coverage of it is pretty small. There are over 160,000 trans adults in the state of Texas
Actually wild that the Texas legislature banned trans people from bathrooms in government buildings yesterday and it hasn’t gotten a whiff of news coverage in the Associated Press, NYT, WaPo, etc
