Multiple airports are now announcing they will refuse to play Kristi Noem’s government-funded video blaming “Democrats” for the government shutdown.

“We believe the Hatch Act clearly prohibits use of public assets for political purposes and messaging,” one airport said.

Adams must be removed. The city cannot sustain being governed for nearly a year by a Mayor who is being coerced by Trump admin in order to escape charges.

This corruption poses a real threat to the people of the city. He should have resigned a while ago, but will not. So it’s time for him to go.

Realizing we could simply offer people on the streets unused housing, right now, at any time, and it literally costs more to punish them for poverty or disability than it would to house them remains one of the clearest examples I know of that capitalism is a scam for power by the prop owning class.

Have you been asked, as a federal worker, to do something you don't want to do? But they won't put it in writing?

DON'T DO IT.

If they're going to punish you? MAKE THEM PUT IT IN WRITING. ALL OF IT.

Document, document, document.

Act confused. Be confused! Go slow. Require clarity. Lots. Document

Here are the options on the table (which are not mutually exclusive):

1. House Dems bring articles of impeachment*

2. Senate Dems play constitutional hardball and obstruct everything

3. State AGs litigate (and prosecute) everything they can

4. Citizens march en mass

For those that are looking for shit that’s down.
The Internet Archive has to date downloaded 500 terabytes of US government websites, which it crawls at the end of every presidential term. The whole archive is fully searchable. This effort's housed by a donation-funded nonprofit, not a branch of the US government. blog.archive.org/2024/05/08/e...

Please remember that this administration is not “the government.” They are not governing. The government is not the bad guy. Trump and the oligarchs are the bad guys. They are dismantling “the government.”

Also seriously -- we're not in the catastrophizing phase of the Shitstain's term. We are firmly planted in the realistic phase.

That being said, make sure to stay vigilant about your news streams. It doesn't seem horrible here, but CHECK SOURCES regardless of who posts info.

So my favorite line from the three Pirates of the Caribbean movies (they only made three, fight me), is when Jack Sparrow says to Will Turner: "The only rules that really matter are these: what a man can do and what a man can't do."

I've internalized that lesson. It's a good way to think about law.

Once they normalize breaking the rules to go after people who are not citizens of this country, their next phase will be to go after people who are "not the right kind of citizens".

By then it will be too late to stop them.

Don't let them normalize any of it.

yall better have library cards. Some (most!!) public library systems have seed libraries and libraries of things where you can borrow things you may not need to own.

Also libraries are revolutionary and librarians have always been on the front lines
