We need a just, humane immigration reform, not a system that is built off of the same cruelty, inequity, and exploitation that we see in our criminal legal system.

It will not be enough to simply reverse Trump’s policies and executive orders when a new Democratic president takes office. The next administration must commit itself in addition to purging the aesthetic rot of Trump’s second term from our national life. trib.al/09qbLcw

if there were zero guardrails then that independence never really existed, or was at best voluntary, which is a pretty bad way to run a government.
Axios has learned the White House has begun managing the DOJ's account on X to respond to posts highlighting mentions of Trump in the Epstein files.

In typical administrations, there is a wall between the White House and what is supposed to be an independent Justice Department.
Scoop: Trump administration expects Epstein files release could last another week

If you want to win back control of Congress next year and build a Democratic Party that fights as hard as we do, support the grassroots organizing that will make it possible. A wave election is within our reach, but only if we invest in the grassroots organizing that helped deliver big wins in 2025.

The lesson of history is that tyrants cannot be appeased.

Appeasement only feeds their insatiable hunger for power.

Tyrants prey on people who feel unsafe and vulnerable.

But without mass submission, a tyrant is powerless.

Remember this.

Data is wonky right now with Nielsen's new "big data" panel. But in prelims, KenCen did just 2.65M viewers. Even with a massive 25% lift, the show still finishes in the mid-3M range-- well below last year. In demos, it's even more of a massacre-- currently it's a 0.14, roughly HALF of 2024 show

Since the DOJ is now saying they have "uncovered" one million more documents they claim to not know about, doesn't that put seriously in doubt this absurd claim by FBI Director Patel that Epstein had not trafficked anyone?

“Dismal,” “confused,” “demoralized,” “super fucked.” That, as one reporter tells Vanity Fair, is the mood inside CBS after editor Bari Weiss pulled a 60 Minutes segment that was critical of the Trump administration.

Before she stoked outrage by spiking a ‘60 Minutes’ segment about a notorious El Salvador prison, Weiss spent weeks lobbying Megyn Kelly to participate in a debate on feminism with ‘Call Her Daddy’ host Alex Cooper, to no avail.
