"That figure exceeds the number detained in Chicago and North Carolina, according to DHS tallies."

I own a lanyard/media pass holder for the 2020 Pac-12 Men's Basketball Tournament because it was still on sale on their website around the time the league collapsed. It was the cheapest thing left in the store.
What is the most "obscure" piece of sports memorabilia that you own? Why do you have it?

I’ll keep saying this but this still feels nuts to me. That CFB coaches are making $10 million regularly and 5-star QBs — surely the most valuable assets in the sport — are at around $1 million

No other sport with salaries gives more money to coaches than players

I'm going to say something I don't even think is controversial here: This is the best possible outcome to this story, bc ain't no way in hell that man should have charge of a dog
"Lane Kiffin had a dog just for PR purposes" is my Carl Hiaasen "I quit because Florida keeps making up real stories even I couldn't make up"

“Lane’s a journeyman who will only leave you too”

Sweet child, welcome to major college football in 2025. Every single human in that football ops building, every coach, every player, every admin, is only in a transactional relationship with this brand.

Either you understand that there is an organized campaign to push trans people out of public life with the explicit end goal of "morally mandating us out of existence" that is backed by some of the wealthiest individuals to have ever lived, or you're simply not equipped to grasp what's happening.

HE ALSO LOST A FUCLOAD OF GAMES MORE RECENTLY THAN HE WON
Story on Michigan State hiring Pat Fitzgerald.

The feeling around MSU is the donors have re-activated for this hire. Even after the hazing stuff and Fitzgerald's final few years at Northwestern, he still won a lot of games.

Why Florida is letting Sumrall coach these games is beyond me (unless he made it a condition of taking the job, which, my goodness how far Florida has fallen)
New Florida coach Jon Sumrall will finish the season with Tulane, through the American championship game and potentially the College Football Playoff.

So Tulane vs. North Texas for a CFP bid, with two head coaches who have taken other jobs.

LSU is hiring Brian Kelly again.
WE LITERALLY DID NOT LEARN A FUCKING THING.
This happened multiple times. I think it says a lot about a person the way they treat people lower on the ladder than them. I took it personally, which may be a mistake in this business, but fuck him. Also he’s never actually won anything.

This is why I don't get why LSU is so dead set on hiring him.

“The misogyny at the heart of the gender wage gap runs deep. Where sports reporting should be illuminating and challenging that misogyny and holding the powerful owners to account, much of it instead only adds to the discrimination WNBA players face.”
Time and time again the media reports from the owners point-of-view in the WNBA labor negotiations. Time and time again journalists offer no evidence supporting NBA claims.

If something is not supported by evidence, it is simply an assertion. It is not a fact.
