Never before have I felt the need to rave about a train service, but the Intercités de nuit @groupe-sncf.com Bayonne-Paris was sooo lush! 4 bed couchette and a nice clean shower space at Gare d'Austerlitz for under 80 EUR, best I've had! Inspired by @seatsixtyone.bsky.social

Reminder that EVERY SINGLE STUDY, EXPERIMENT and REAL WORLD EXAMPLE of how to handle these situations has proven multiple times that "provide stability without strings" (whether its something like UBI, housing, etc.) has by far the most success and least cost.
Housing first has been an incredible success in terms of mental health and substance abuse to kill it in favor of tough love nonsense that doesn't work will destroy lives.
I gasped reading this part of Trump's horrible EO.
