Democracy and the international rules based order, social-democrat, pro-Ukraine, anti-Brexit, pro-cats, two wheels (powered or unpowered) always captures my attention. Analytical but somehow the husband of an empath and father of a creative.

The sum from Christopher Harborne is the largest ever single donation by a living person to a British political party.

Motorcycle Live at the NEC in Birmingham, really liked the Royal Enfield stand with its free coffee for Owner's Club members and some great bikes. The quality of the Chinese bikes on the MotoGB was impressive. Electric bikes had zero interest from the public.

I lost my sight two years ago. Mostly I'm okay with being blind. I've adapted well. I am very independent and have found new ways to "see" the world. But there's four things I miss seeing more than anything. My three children's faces. And the stars at night.

1/ This graph from @jonbruner.bsky.social tells an important story: America's current dominance in science only began after the mid-1930s, when persecuted scientists began fleeing universities in Germany and then elsewhere in occupied Europe.

And also sent this piece out with some reflections on what I heard about the the state of the war at Davos.

Just sent out this piece about what I heard about Ukraine from US and European voices at Davos. It was not reassuring. US people are operating within a cult-like environment, and Europeans are debasing themselves to work with the cult.

I think all are missing the real thing here, remember all con men/grifters distract while the real steal is ongoing, so the panama canal, gulf of mexico, canada and greenland are all distractions form the conman/grifter incoming family/administration are meant to draw attention for the real steal

Glad to see this put in simple terms and at the top of reddit politics. Normalizing Nazism as centrism is his project. And it's working.

The forces of capital could be at least be expressing some revulsion. Instead, we're getting lectures on not using the right words to describe this horror.

Elon Musk is just the latest billionaire to exert tremendous influence over U.S. politics. When he says he supports Neo-Nazis, take him at his word.
