Sunday October 18th. Let’s not hear any complaining. You’ve got 11 days to work it out!

Anything with an o or u sound.

People really are saying Hewlew (Hulu) and Towrah (Torah).

What’s the word where you’re from that, when pronounced exactly as it looks, identifies a tourist immediately?

Anyway if you give Norman Finkelstein any oxygen you are giving an olympic level narcissist/racist the time of day.

Why stay in America? Who is speaking up for us? Who is cutting off friends over this?

This morning, Temple Israel woke up to anti-Semitic threats — a reminder that hate still tries to find a foothold. It won’t find one here. Minneapolis stands with our Jewish neighbors. Hiding behind hate to spread fear aganst any religion or group of people is cowardly and unacceptable in our city.

“Gadot never came 0/10” is something I’d expect from a comedy slipping in “high brow” humor into the script

Uhhh yeah in America white Christians do not respect Black Christianity, this isn’t new, they are just saying the quiet part out loud.

A lot going on here, but a religion note: DHS Assistant Sec. Tricia McLaughlin refers to Rev. Black as a "pastor" here — using quotation marks.

It's a notable slight against a faith leader's status, as Black is, in fact, an ordained minister of a church operating within the Presbytery of Chicago.
This footage is from almost a month ago. What this clipped video doesn’t show is that these agitators were blocking an ICE vehicle from leaving the federal facility—impeding operations.

Over and over again, law enforcement ordered these agitators to move off of federal property so the vehicle could move. Law enforcement verbally warned these agitators that they would use force if they did not move and stop impeding operations. They did not comply.

Shortly after, rioters began throwing rocks, bottles and launching fireworks at the law enforcement officers on the roof.

At the time of this incident, this facility held criminal illegal aliens including gang members, drug traffickers, and other violent criminals. Obstructing law enforcement puts officers, detainees and the public at risk. If you are obstructing law enforcement you can expect to be met with force.

And, as an aside, this is the same “pastor” who flipped
@Sec_Noem
and our team the bird when we were there last week.

Yes it’s popular with that sort

It has to do with bacteria that generate the smell rising due to water temperature changes.

It has human causes but having an unnatural shoreline is just as much a factor as other human caused factors.

Oh all of these movies that I don’t even think about their sequels… at least #bebold and say Star Wars or the Godfather (I get the irony of both their immediate sequels being great)

Reservoir dogs isn’t good cinema. It’s a story that’s simply not meant to be a film. If THAT’S what makes me hate men… sure. Fine. Whatever.

if you don't love these movies, just admit you hate men

This is the new normal. Ppl are gonna make and sometimes disseminate crude cartoons attempting to demean and humiliate ppl who annoy them.

Especially influencers and teenagers. But this is gonna be a general-purpose thing.

At least some will probably be good on accident. Not this one, though.

Hold up. A prominent Jewish woman skeeter is temporarily banned for posting about what evangelicals actually believe for Jews AND:

I hear and see your concerns. Over the weekend, a couple users hosted on Blacksky's PDS were banned from the Bluesky app and thus the Bluesky API servers. This was a weakness of our system I've been aware of and hoped we had more time to address before any kind of public incident. 1/11

Offered as a public service for Baltimoreans who want the scoop on the pistachio tide. Courtesy of the National Aquarium.
The Ristachio Tide Phenome
The Pistachio Tide Phenomenon is a green sulfur bacteria bloom that commonly occurs in the Baltimore Harbor during the fall season. Triggered by specific environmental conditions, this phenomenon leads to the sudden Increase of sulfur bacteria at the water's surface where harvesting sunlight turns the water green, producing a telltale rotten egg smell.
1. Turning the Tide
Green sulfur bacteria blooms are initiated by specific environmental conditions.
A sequence of dry, precipitation-free days with drastic day and night temperature shifts leads to changes in water density resulting in a thermal inversion.

Honestly I hope the Democratic nominee for president nails these authoritarian supporters to the wall alongside all their enablers. Clear the board, clean house. Either you believe in democracy or you don’t.

So, imagine a 2028 that ends with a normal election and a Democratic president.

Does that president punish CBS? Does he kick it out of the Brady room's front row? Does his FCC go after its licenses? Does his FTC probe the Skydance deal?

No, probably not. No fear of reprisal if power shifts back.
gregsargent.bsky.social
Do CBS News executives understand that MAGA will not be in power forever? I genuinely think this is lost on a lot of people. They've gotten scammed by bad actors into believing Trump's 2024 win represented something seismic and even permanent. I predict they'll look back on this as a serious error.

B) we don’t suggest solutions like we did 150 years ago! Instead of just letting nature sort itself out we could be proposing:
-a giant fan to push out the smells and miasma
-a giant fan to push out the tepid water and miasma
-a giant faucet to push out the tepid waters and miasma

A) the sheer amount of time, money, and energy we put into things smelling not badly

Baltimore is undergoing a “pistachio tide” because of temperature swings and bacterium sloshing to the top. It has led me to think about:
