People don't think about protests clearly enough. On one hand, *it was bad* that Alabama police brutally assaulted Selma marchers for obvious reasons. On the other hand *it was good* that the organizers were able to successfully provoke a brutal and unsympathetic public assault.

When Trump sends his private military goons of ICE and DHS to polling sites in blue polling places this November, we need to make sure that there is an even larger presence of peaceful observers to ensure voting occurs as it has for the past 250 years.
