The Pirates released an updated roster today that listed Nick Gonzales wearing No. 3. In July, he said he planned to change his number in tribute to Dave Parker.

“If you’re in the Hall of Fame, I shouldn’t be wearing your number.”

Yariel Rodriguez, who fell out of favour with some shaky playoff outings, has been outrighted off the 40-man roster by #Bluejays.

Nobody claimed him and the $15,800,000 remaining on his contract through the end of the 2027 season, so he remains in #Jays system, but not on the 40-man.
