Crockett: I am tired of the white tears. When you compare me to Marjorie Taylor Greene or me to Lauren Boebert, there is no comparison. So the only people that are crying are the mediocre white boys that have been beaten out by people that historically have had to work so, so much harder

The “A” in DEIA stands for accessibility. Federal workers with disabilities, including many veterans, deserve respect and the opportunity to work in public service. A diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible workplace makes public service better and makes everyone’s lives better.

I just found out A.I. was used to “enhance” the singing in EMILIA PEREZ and considering how subpar almost all of the singing is in that film, that speaks volumes (ironically) about the crappiness of both A.I. and EMILIA PEREZ.

They absolutely buried TikTok in a Pet Sematary because what was resurrected was NOT what was laid to rest.

We’re about to find out that sometimes dead is better, real quick.

Zuckerberg/Meta launched Threads as an alternative to Twitter/X, capturing a largely liberal userbase unhappy w/ Musk's management. Now that Zuckerberg is supporting the Trump presidency, his replies on Threads are just a deluge of dunks. It's like someone creating their own personal wedgie machine.

I had very few concerns using TikTok while it was owned by ByteDance

I have a lot of concerns if it's owned in total or part by a US company

As soon as I saw all the constant, BLATANT disinformation about Gaza, the economy, and the election, but was repeatedly told "no violation found," it was driven home that TikTok is exactly as dirty as Congress thought. It's a cesspool of mis- and dis-information. Naturally, Trump loves it.

What’s the difference between a gov controlling an algorithm, silently eliminating reach for things it doesn’t like, vs the same gov using its power, to demand that the platform remove the things it doesn’t like.?

In China they are overt. With TikTok in the US, they control silently

I know this sounds really unreasonable, but maybe congress could pass a real data privacy law and then it would be safe to use apps even if their owners were maybe a little malicious.

It’s always a good time, but especially now, to bookmark the websites of artists you like. Maybe even have an offline list of names of folks you want to keep up with/support in your notes app or whatever. Never know what app, website, etc will be banned next. 🤡

Still astounded how people think that the government force-closing a social network that's literally used by 170 million people in the US is just fine or even good.

It would not surprise me if they go after VPNs next.

They tried this already: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RESTRIC...

Think the TikTok ban is gonna crush me.

TT has been an important space for me the last 2 years, it’s helped me understand myself so much more with all the content from the ND community.

If you think I’m overreacting, then you don’t get what’s great about TT, and this post ain’t for you.
