The name "Popular Science" doesn't mean we shift our coverage depending on public opinion. It means we cover relevant subjects that are rigorously researched, reliable, and grounded in reality.

And trans lives are grounded in reality.

We see y'all. No matter what.

First-of-a-kind study shows encouraging data for trans kids who socially transition
Ninety-four percent of participants in a new study stood firm in their trans identity after five years, and "detransitioning" is rare.

A wonderful duet featuring Frank Oz’s Fozzie & the late Richard Hunt as the snowman. The only time this special was released on DVD, this number was excised. I love when a Muppet production number suddenly adds a bunch of voices to the mix & kicks it up to a Muppety 11. Also - Penguins!

It feels that winter and snow in Chicago helps widen existing inequities because those without cars are less able to move around safely on transit and on foot. Mobility justice is hampered with the city management and policies around snow clearance.

Chicago may experience less tear gas use as Operation Midway Blitz winds down. Cold and wet weather reduce effectiveness, while wind adds unpredictability.

Refusing to fund SNAP is ableism.

Cutting Medicaid is ableism.

Terminating ACA subsidies is ableism.

Slashing affordable housing is ableism.

This regime has a very clear eugenics agenda.

They’re targeting services they know disabled people rely on to survive.

We are not expendable.

Shout out to everyone completely demoralized about the state of the world who still manages to get out of bed each morning.

And shout out to you, too if you’re still in bed. This shit is hard. Talk to your friends and neighbors. They’re going though it too, which is both terrifying and comforting.

Top 7 lifetime show, 2 years almost to the week since my last live show, before we stopped everything. I went solo. because WBEZ Radio Z host Jason Marck mentioned it.
The whole Vic masked, vaxxed, thrilled, anxious, relieved, vibrating. Anyway, today’s November 10.

Other attorneys who spoke at the presser wished to remind the public that they can visit tinyurl.com/chicagotro to report when federal immigration agents in Chicagoland potentially violate District Judge Sara Ellis' injunction order against abuse of press, protestors and religious practitioners.
Rev. Abby Holcombe of the River Forest Methodist Church, another plaintiff shot with pepper balls: "I have one more message for Greg Bovino, Kristi Noem, the ICE agents who shot at me and all other ICE agents and president Trump: God is always on the side of the oppressed. We’re in a strange limbo where secret police are routinely beating, disappearing, and shooting everyday people in public, but they’ve not yet consolidated enough power to stop us from talking about it on social media. That imbalance prob can’t last. Either we roll them back or this gets rolled up .
