Okay, so like. Everyone? Even progressives, allies, cis queer people, and yes, trans people treat trans women as simply men-in-drag and consider the inclusion of trans women in women's spaces to be a kind of wedge into gender-neutrality.

There are a lot of things people get wrong about trans women but "making this space welcoming to cis men will make it more welcoming to trans women!" is I think the most wrong and also most common thing that a lot of folks are maddeningly attached to.

Trans women are biologically female and our medical needs make a lot more sense if we are conceptualized as having essentially an extreme form of hyperandrogenism

They think the harm from the internet is her being trans and having access to information about being trans. They see her becoming trans as the thing that caused her murder. So their solution is to take away the ability of children to be trans, such that cis kids won't have to murder them.
