We’re living in the Russian Empire post-1905 imo. Just a back-to-back series of national humiliations while the ruling class systematically fails at its basic responsibilities. In this comparison the debacle around the Epstein files plays a role analogous to Rasputin making the czar a cuckold.

Muting a Black woman to claim the vote was unanimous is so incredibly on the nose
The White House claims the vote to rename the Kennedy Center was “unanimous.” That is false. I was muted on the call and denied the opportunity to speak or register my opposition. That is not consensus. That is censorship.

Idk, ppl still think the constitution means something and it’s important they get that it doesn’t if we want to fix and improve our conditions.

We can’t discard the constitution for one that’s both real and desirable if people think we’re still living by the old one, and that that’s a good thing.
Every time they talk about something being unconstitutional all I can think about is this scene

Just write new fucking stories, make up new fucking characters, Jesus fucking Christ. Nobody in the fucking world wants to run on this god damn fucking media hamster wheel.
I do not want Gaston backstory, I do not need Gaston backstory, I reject Gaston backstory

he is a fully formed oaf, consuming eggs by the dozen in one of the greatest villain songs ever written, and that is all we need of him

Me in 2020: oooo, a lord of the rings tv show… and new Star Trek?! Wowow.

Me in 2025: if I hear about one single more reboot I am going to shoot my balls off and then shoot my head open until I die
I think it speaks to how starved for original movies the public is that the one okay kinda original movie that survived into the zeitgeist this year is getting treated like a gargantuan EVENT

But instead of more of these we'll just burn down the animation industry

There has to be a better analogy than this, because Hannibal was a really good show. They made Hannibal hot and likable.
Take a moment to imagine you are having a psychotic episode, and someone sits you down with Hannibal Lecter.

It extremely rules that this isn’t grounds for a slam dunk lawsuit
It’s clear from the video this woman had just come to the park to play with her child. She said as much and was upset that there were masked men with guns in the park.

Border Patrol chief Greg Bovino calls the woman an “activist” and Andy Ngo says the woman was using her child as a “human shield.”
