Well i'm tired of people saying the PT are "bad movies" without quantifying their claim. Why are they bad - specifically, why do you think they are bad, and why do you think someone who thinks they are not bad, are incorrect to think as such? By any quantifiable metric, these are solidly made films.
I'm so tired of people who just because they grew up with them cannot come to terms with the fact that the prequels are terrible, terrible films. I got into Star Wars between AotC and RotS, and there are many things I still like about them to this day, but early on I realised how bad they were.

Never had an AOL address (our family used a crappy local internet provider back in the day). Never *seriously* used a typewriter but I liked dinking with one my grandma had. Never used a phone book because I always had the number of who I had to call ahead of time.

Metroid Prime 4 finished 100%
it's a good game, but definitely lacking in parts. Feels like the middle game of a trilogy missing the first half. Not being able to TURN OFF THE HINT SYSTEM is stupid!
But it looks great, plays smoothly, it is by no means a bad game by any fair metric. 7/10

Metroid Prime 4 finished 100%

also a thing about star wars is its inherent postmodernism of taking the old *accusation* of sf being space operas --- i.e. just reskinned westerns --- and going 'yes that is what this is and we're doing it full-throttle' is not quite obvious to generations who grew up with it

i think the thing most sci-fi universes get wrong is that a lot of them are trying to be cool and george lucas implicitly understood that it needs to look cool, lived in, and also everything's kinda weird enough for the audience to go "woah what is WEIRD" and gawk at it

Look, this is the problem. The series tried to overcorrect after Metroid Other M and now it's such a cowardly mess that she's not even allowed to speak a lick of English to anyone anymore lest the fans cry. We have to let that fucking game go. It's been more than a decade.

It's been "A New Hope" since 1981. It's literally been "A New Hope" for more than 90% of its existence. This isn't even a special edition chance, or even originally a home video change, it was a theatrical re-release change!

The Federation can be a generally benevolent force for good fighting mad scientist space terrorists while also having crooked actors doing things to consolidate power and authority behind closed doors, these aren't mutually exclusive ideas. One is Tanabe's focus, the other is Sakamoto's.
The Metroid Prime games are Federation propaganda by the way, specially 3 and Federation Force.
