So, of trans children starting HRT, more than 98% stay on it, and of the small fraction that don't, over half identify as nonbinary. Less than 1% go “nah, turns out I'm cis.” From an N of four fucking hundred. Why the hell are we making children run a gauntlet? Some asshole's political career?
A landmark study was just published in The Journal of Pediatrics.
It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.
It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... & of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.

Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.
The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.

I apply estrogen gel daily and check in with my endocrinologist annually, and get my TSH levels checked then as well. Less a safety issue and more of a do I need to change my meds issue. As to ibuprofen, say, you should tell your doctor if you take it daily so they can tell you to stop doing that
i would love to know what "risks" people are citing when they say that hrt is "unsafe" without medical supervision. do you consult your doctor when you take advil or tylenol?
