In America, I’m glad we picked the economic system where if you want to enjoy true, unfettered freedom of movement within rural and urban settings, within states and regions, and even abroad, you can’t be poor. Stay put, you poors!

I just watched the 1933 film Dragnet Girl by Yasujirō Ozu, and the cops depicted in the film wore standard western style uniforms, but carried katanas as sidearms. ACAB except for Marge Gunderson and the sword guys.
A katana is a practical purchase. A katana can replace many single-use tools both inside and outside of the house
