«Shchedryk» by Mykola Leontovych echoed at one of DTEK's destroyed thermal power plants
In the ruined turbine hall of a DTEK power station, shattered by russian attacks, a choir sings Shchedryk.

Truly, a performance worth a million words 💔

I’m sorry but I can’t stop laughing, yeah we would sled down hills in the winter with whatever we had on hand, toboggans, crazy carpets, tubes 😂 someone always got injured because of jumps on the hills or wipeouts #Canada

This little felted guy had an ear loved off by a toddler. Successful invisible mend at the #repaircafe, a nice change from tears, patches and split seams. Called him the “wonky donkey” while repairing the ear

Great summary of the turbulence ahead as a result of American withdrawal. I would have loved to hear the next sentence. I imagine the video cut just when he was about to point out that the world order Trump is against, is the same world order that made the U.S. the wealthiest country in the world.
Watch this and listen carefully.

Singapore PM on the change in the global order given the US is no longer the insurer of stability - a sentiment that will go beyond the current administration. But nobody else has stepped in building a foundation of multipolarity amid turbulence.

In this existential 'Elbows Up' moment for Canada's economy, public discourse has been overly influenced by loud demands from corporations & their political backers to implement their age-old agenda: deregulate (especially environmental rules), cut taxes, build more pipelines. /2

I’m here at YVR to stand in solidarity with the workers of @cupescfp.bsky.social as they defy the Carney government’s draconian back-to-work order and exercise their right to strike for better pay and work conditions.

The energy is electric. The 99% are with the workers today!

I wonder if this is why oil and gas industries are freaking out. We have alternatives. Solar and wind are better. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. www.euronews.com/green/2025/0...
Solar is now 41% cheaper than fossil fuels, UN report shows
The global switch to renewable energy has passed a “positive tipping point”, according to two United Nations reports released on Tuesday.

Likely projects are:

- 4 fossil fuel-related projects
- 2 two renewable energy projects - 1 nuclear energy supply chain project
- 3 major transmission line upgrades to accelerate decarbonization
- 3 major transportation and trade-related projects to build trade capacity
- 2 mining projects
As Indigenous nations meet with Carney today over his major projects plan, no list of projects has been made public. But after speaking with government sources we're got the likely front-runners. Here they are, spanning LNG, power grids & port upgrades.

I think there are things Suzuki says in this interview that are correct, but I have some serious issues with the conclusions.

First, the comments about it being “too late.” To be clear, that is a political rather than a scientific calculus on Suzuki’s part. I also think it is incorrect.
