GOP: We are sending armed perverts to assault families. Even babies. We are in open warfare against all things good.

Schumer: People call him TACO, but these days it's getting hard to afford one! Can you chip in $5 today to help us hold Mr. Trump accountable for these soft shell economic policies?

"I know gassing babies isn't ideal, but it's important that you remain civil."

Part of what makes this administration so sure of its choices and so easy with its abuses is that it knows Democrats will lie down for it, and softly rebuke their own voters for not taking abuse with greater equanimity.

Just want to stress that this was a woman who was simply trying to get to a doctor's appointment.
We are so far past the Rubicon that it isn't worth having a discussion anymore as to whether Trump is acting as an authoritarian. The only question is whether we have the strength and courage to get back to the other side.

If you cannot make “these people are leaving BABIES in CARS in WINTER and then returning them to their carekeepers with BRUISES” into popular sentiment as a politician, you’re either inept or you want this to keep happening.

(watching a party that just tried to pass an extremely right wing republican wishlist of an immigration bill that'd violate international treaties on asylum and campaigned on how they'd be the real border hawks) okay. obviously, we can get these guys to abolish ICE if we ease them into it.

We are about to find whatever the lowest possible bar for the word meaningful is. Or we won’t because the rest of the party will just vote for it regardless.

Asked if he's willing to shut down the government over ICE funding, Senator Cory Booker replies: "We had the longest government shutdown, and Democrats could not hold together to sustain that kind of pressure."

If you won't bring severe consequences for these relentless crimes against humanity, if you won't even consider it, if you won't even try then what is the point of you? Not just as a politician; as a human being.
I want these fuckers prosecuted. I will not vote for a candidate who shies away from this.
A teenage boy was walking home in Minneapolis yesterday when four masked men jumped out of a van & questioned him - with no parent or guardian present.

He was bundled into the van & taken away.

Bystanders heard the boy say: “Can I just go home?”

I don’t know how America comes back from all this.

sure, Jack Daniels has been crippled by Trump's pointless trade war with Canada. but surely the CBS News Whiskey Fridays with Some Guy No One Knows will turn things around
New: CBS News seems to be preparing a new segment called "Whiskey Fridays with Tony Dokoupil," per sources.

Some staff were only first made aware of it as they encountered CBS testing out set designs of a faux-stocked bar in the newsroom, featuring a large sponsor banner for Jack Daniels.

The politicians scared of their own shadows, quibbling about reform of ICE, training, whatever--they are missing the point. This could be a lot more difficult for the fascists if they weren't given so much latitude and legitimacy for free, from an opposition party getting nothing in return.
