Question for a linguist, if one sees this: 20 years ago I was a Hindi film fan. To this day I can sing many lines and verses of many film songs. I'm now a kpop fan but I struggle to learn and retain even one Korean line of my favourite songs. What's different? My brain? The nature of the language?

Still tinkering with my fic. How do you decide what your narrator and characters will sound like? I've got Jin saying "We're business people, you and I" in one sentence and "Yeah, that's not gonna work" in the next. I use a mix like that in my own daily life but on paper it looks weird.
