Apologies that the tea posts came to a crashing halt, but I've come down with a nasty bug, and don't want to judge gourmet tea when I can't properly taste anything. Will resume once I'm feeling better. For now I'm under the care of Nurses Glenda and Harvey.

Harney Tea Advent Calendar Day 11 : Jasmine. I've come down with a bad case of laryngitis so this was soothing, green tea with floral notes. Mug is my other Twin Peaks mug featuring the Three Coopers. I have a few of these heat activated mugs, this one still works after many years of use.

Harney Tea Advent Calendar Day 10: Hot Cinnamon Spice. Apologies for missing yesterday but I will round out the year posting the rest plus a few other favorite teas (and mugs). This flavor is rife with nostalgia because it was my late mother's fave. Emma Swift mug featuring Tubby the cat.

Harney Tea Advent Calendar Day 9: Peppermint. I know this is a popular herbal tea flavor, so this monstrosity would be hiding in here somewhere, but... not my favorite 😅. At least it's not as synthetic-tasting as most peppermint. Mug is a custom photo mug featuring my cat Glenda.

Harney Tea Advent Calendar Day 8: Organic Earl Grey Supreme. Another tasty one. Harney does several Earl Grey variants but this is the classic. Star Trek ornament was purchased 2 years ago (Data recites the Spot poem, but I'll spare you). Mug purchased in 2018 at Brooklyn Museum Bowie retrospective.

Harney Tea Advent Calendar Day 7 : Sencha Tea. Going from one of the worst selections yesterday to one of the best today... flavorful green tea, nothing fancy but it doesn't need to be. Mug is one of my Twin Peaks mugs from 2017.

Harney Tea Advent Calendar Day 6: Egyptian Chamomile. Well, at least I'm pretty sure it's not getting any worse than this. I hate any kind of Chamomile. It's always tasted like used bathwater to me. 😝 Harney's isn't the worst but it's not good. Mug was a gift from my mother about 15 years ago.

Harney Tea Advent Calendar Day 5: Lemon Herbal. This is indeed a Lemon. Nice citrus smell but has minimal detectable flavor, as if someone heated and served the fingerbowl at a fancy restaurant. 😝 Mug purchased at a craft shop in Corner Brook, Newfoundland in 2008.

Harney Tea Advent Calendar Day 4 (sorry this is so late, had a rare evening out): Chai. Very nice, spicy and flavorful but not innard-scorching. Another favorite. Mug is from Bones Coffee, depicting the Shark Bite blend. Ironically I use it most often for tea drinking

Harney Tea Advent Calendar Day 3: Paris. Now we're talking! One of their signature blends and a favorite of several family members. Rich, complex flavor, smells delicious too. Mug purchased at The Big Duck, Long Island's beloved landmark, in 2013.

Harney 12 Days of Christmas Tea Advent Calendar Day 2: English Breakfast. Another popular but not-my-favorite selection, though at least this is proper tea. And tastes better than expected, as Harney's tends to. Mug purchased at a Slambovian Circus of Dreams Christmas show about ten years ago.

I know nobody really needs any more advent calendar content 😅 but I have no better ideas. It's been a rough year. This is a comfort gift to myself and I do love Harney Tea. And since they're not paying me I'll be honest abour which flavors miss the mark. And I'll share a few favorite mugs too. #tea

I made raspberry herbal tea using the sample from the Harney Tea advent calendar (day one, yes I'm staring this dar too late but I'll keep going past Christmas).
