Alex Pretti was a colleague at the VA. We hired him to recruit for our trial. He became an ICU nurse- I lover working with him. He was a good kind person who lived to help and these fuckers executed him.

I'm probably totally misunderstanding but will these troops potentially face off against either the Minnesota National Guard or NATO? Either option is so unbelievably fucked up.
These troops could be for Minnesota, or they could be for Greenland.

The fact that we have to consider the latter shows Europe is now in a security dilemma with the United States.

We are in a security dilemma with our most powerful "ally."
About 1,500 soldiers w/ 11th Airborne Division in Alaska have been placed on prepare-to-deploy orders with a mission in Minnesota in mind, defense officials tell me tonight. Unclear if some or all of them ultimately will go.

News reported tonight by ABC News, too.

These so-called "patriotic" 🇬🇧newspapers who brought you Brexit were never really patriotic at all.

They are driven by a disdain for Britain's European neighbours, and a fawning obsession with America.

They do not really want 🇬🇧 to be sovereign. They're content being a 🇺🇸vassal.

there’s a lot of irony around how writing a genuinely good prompt for LLMs requires the exact kind of clarity and precision in communication that is taught by good (human) writing instructors - who have now almost all been laid off by college admins

And that this news broke the same day as the Skripal poisoning inquest findings...totally nuts all of this isn't bigger news!
You'd think us violating Irish neutrality in an apparent attempt to assassinate Zelensky by forcing his plane to crash would be bigger news.

For the Irish for a start.

I wonder to what extent some informal backroom US/Russian agreement has been made? US sells out Ukraine and in return Russia doesn't offer any support for erstwhile ally Venuzuela? Back to 'Spheres of Influence' and goodbye to any semblance of international order?

My total inexpert opinion is that if this disastrous peace plan is foisted upon Ukraine there will be a Russia/Western Europe war by 2028.
Do you agree? 🧐

It's not in this article but the government asserts that the sandwich was thrown at "point blank range", which implies subway sandwiches have defined effective weapon ranges of varying lethality, and I would like to see the government's chart of these ranges.

Shooters now know that their violence will be flattened, picked apart, argued over, and amplified, Charlie Warzel writes. The internet's poison is in its very architecture. www.theatlantic.com/technology/a...
