When I think back to my time playing FFXIV, the bigggest thing I remember is all the teens and twenty-something’s glomming every conceivable sexual orientation onto every single character and getting very mad when other people didn’t agree.

I’m happy folks are playing Silent Hill f, but every time I see someone go “the first playthrough’s ending only left me more confused,” I think “…really?”

Despite the global crumminess of 2025, I got a lot of my goals accomplished. And considering the ever-present imposter syndrome, that’s saying something. Here’s hoping the New Year will have just as many personal victories.

Part of the story I’m working on involves one of the characters being dragged through the dirt and it is both satisfying as a writer and also heartbreaking seeing this character’s plans all crumble to dust.

I’ll never say Street Fighter 6 is a bad game — far from it. But I do feel justified in saying it’s not nearly as exciting as I’ve wanted it to be. I put *months* of cumulative game time in SFIV.

We rewatched JoJo’s Bozarre Adventure: Golden Wind. It feels like the main reason Fugo left the team is that Hirohiko Araki realized “a Stand that causes an extremely fast-acting fatal virus” is a hard counter to basically anything King Crimson could do.

I saw a YouTuber in their 40s who peaked before 2010 on here, and they were still obsessing over YouTube drama from 2013. I had to block just to never see that level of embarrassment ever again.
It was *so* bad. Just vindictiveness towards perceived enemies for still being sorta-relevant.

This isn’t me undermining this but yeah, kids are always gonna prefer the easy option. Especially when the hiring process is far more concerned with whether or not you have the degree as opposed to whether or not you understood the stuff required to earn said degree.
