I think more than anything the gold plate works in a similar way. He is not emotionally regulated enough to handle the stress of living in a space that doesn't look like home, so he is using gold plating as his transition object.

He needs his blankie, basically

The Australien Government has made an ad about the Social Media Ban for Under-16s, and it's surprisingly honest and informative.

It also shows a fundamental lack of understanding of young people, because they will simply circumvent the ban and thereby be exposed to more of the adult spaces they should actually be protected from.
What the social media ban assumes about our society is that the places where adults congregate to share ideas are never safe for children. And it’s wrong

There are people working full time jobs that are having to live out of their cars because they can't even afford to rent, let alone buy.

That, right there, is a failure of government to protect the very people they're in office to serve.
Why homelessness is not a choice - and providing housing actually saves you money overall in the long run.

It's more expensive to be cruel and dehumanizing

Giving parents the discretion not to vaccinate their kids is one of the strongest ways the state reinforces the parent-child relationship as one of ownership.

Your parents have the ability to decide whether you will die of preventable disease, because you are their property not a person.
To be very clear: Kennedy's team is messing with a vaccine which has led to a 99 percent drop in the incidence of hepatitis B, which kills, early and painfully, 25 percent of the children who get it.

This is why there is no contradiction with being 'pro-life' and 'anti-vaccine'.

In both instances it is about underscoring who owns the bodies in question. The state owns the bodies of women; parents own the bodies of their children.

I'm not a person with many "Libertarian" takes but the right of privacy and the right of self ownership is very big with me.

There are forces that want to diminish both. No one should let them.

Coz reciting not only Ash's, but EVERY line of the movie brings me peace. And I never even transcribed it to an audio cassette like its predecessor.

Pretty sure I missed it. I'm so embarrassed to be late to my own culling! I'll never live it down!
