I would love for a single democrat to reckon with the fact that conservatives are not in fact motivated by reasonable concerns. They are — just as they were with ‘concerns’ over blacks and gays and numerous other minorities over the last five decades — motivated by bigotry.

You have three days, starting today, to leave a public comment with the FDA about, say, why COVID-19 boosters should remain available to everyone and also free. "Individual consumer" is the category you most likely want (unless you are one of the other categories; if so, choose that).

The USPS was never designed or expected to "make a profit", just as the US Government was never designed to be "run like a business".

Both are instituted by US Constitutional parameters to provide critical services to all persons within the boundaries of the US. Not to be dismantled by vultures.
You will never make a profit delivering first class mail to Alaskan villages by plane, the bottom of the Grand Canyon by mule, or, frankly, most addresses in North Dakota or Wyoming. The #PostOffice isn’t a profit machine - it’s a critical government service. We should expect it to take a loss. (1/3)

I saw it said elsewhere that Trump's actions are best understood not as demands for loyalty but as declarations of dominance. He's doing this because hurting people makes him feel strong, and no amount of appeasement makes him want to hurt people less.

that’s literally what Democrats did with abortion rights, and now abortion is completely illegal in half the country as a result.

hey liberals, get this through your head. appeasement never works! we’re not voting for anyone who throws trans people under the bus.

Folks are HUNGRY for mass national action opportunities and I really wish national orgs would read the room and call a day.

They charged Luigi Mangione with terrorism for killing one white man.

But the FBI just corrected the Mayor of New Orleans and tried to embarrass her on national news saying a man who just drove into a crowd w/ a truck loaded with bombs & started shooting is NOT a terrorist.

Fuck this country.

NYC down 8% this year, 15% since 2022.

LAPD down 20% this year, 30% since 2022.
