Minnesotan here. After Trump was elected I read a comment from a German who said he will never forgive us because now he has to worry about his small child going to war against Russia and I think about that a lot.
I am not here for Europeans telling me Americans don't know how crazy things are. The Nazis are killing people over here at the moment so we're busy but thanks for the input. I had hoped for solidarity but I suppose I'll have to settle for sneering condescension instead.

Fail to hold own politicians accountable for decades, act as a source of global instability for about the same period (Iraq, Afghanistan, etc etc) leader threatens ever ally that ever fought alongside & yet the rest of the world should just take it
