I have a dog, think people shouldn't be treated like trash because of what they are, and am really tired of "we shouldn't have to pay for things."
Really looking forward to Tiff Macklem suggesting California wants to secede and get part of what Canada's got.

It would be great if @mark-carney.bsky.social 's government did something about X-the-everything-app having an automated CSAM generation utility. Because if I recall correctly, CSAM is illegal, and "having the utility behind a paywall" isn't a defense.

I have the utmost respect for Mr. Onion.

As Bluesky's resident Raffi thirst poster, however, I just want to clarify that my guy has been a coldhearted killer out for MAGA blood ever since the first Canada tariffs
they've got Raffi calling for regime change. something has shifted.

Every day, thousands of women and children are victimized by people on X using the Grok chatbot to generate scantily clad and naked photos of them.

It’s time for governments to take action. Elon Musk’s X should have been banned long ago. They don’t have an excuse to delay any longer.
Elon Musk’s X must be banned

I am determined as God is my witness to start the Trump fake hand conspiracy theory. His hand isn't showing signs of an undisclosed illness. It's a fake painted Halloween costume hand because his hand was already removed. It's time.

Man oh man, am I ever looking forward to inserting Disney's prime IP into AI recreations of famous human rights atrocities and war crimes.
BREAKING: Disney is making a $1 billion investment in OpenAI, and will allow its iconic characters to be on the company's Sora AI video generator.

Look, I'm not gonna say this would be good, but I think it could be pretty entertaining to launch a revival of "Just Like Mom" if you either (a) made sure the host wasn't giving off *very* creepy vibes, or (b) didn't do (a) but aged the contestants up a good 25 years.
I think if Canada wants to have a strong cultural identity we need to go back to doing what we're best at, making the weirdest fucking TV shows you've ever seen

At some point, someone from the US side of the border is going to have to address the fact that some of every Canadian dollar that makes it's way to the US helps fuel a system that actively seeks to harm Canada and its people for no discernable gain.

US ambassador to Canada Pete Hoekstra is upset that Canada "interfered with US politics" by running an ad with Reagan's voice calling tariffs bad.
The story didn't mention his apology for Trump officials reportedly discussing a $500 million aid package with Alberta separatists. Surely an oversight.

I'm not going to say anything nice about Doug Ford, but I will point out that if he didn't see the ad he would have cancelled trade negotiations because a goblin told him to, or he was startled by a falling maple leaf. He is not a rational actor and agreements with him mean nothing.

Look, I'm not a big expert on international business and what not, but if I were running Canada, and automakers started closing down production lines that I provided hundreds of millions of dollars to keep active, I'd expropriate those production facilities in exchange for a box of Jos Louis.

It's very disturbing to realize that the economic growth of the West is currently supported almost entirely by a product that is predicated on the largest copyright violation in history, the future of which is being promoted with the kind of fraud that would make a snake oil salesman marvel.
the more I read about the promises OpenAI has made, the more disgusted I am. They've promised to deploy 10GW of Broadcom chips *by the end of 2029*, a chip that has yet to tape out, in data centers yet to be planned or funded or the power acquired. We are in a black hole of ethics and good sense.
