This time the WMDs are drugs. Maybe someone from the administration can flash their 8 ball at the U.N. like Colin Powell? Then the NY Times can run a bunch of false WMD stories again, we can have another disastrous war on credit, and a whole new generation of soldiers with PTSD from another oil war.

Apollo 13 is a film that sits atop a small but diverse and, for some people, extremely enjoyable sub-genre of film: Competence Porn. This has nothing to do with actual pornography (well, I guess it…

Interested in how you square the circle of “British people who post ‘burn down a migrant hotel’ during race riots shouldn’t be arrested” with “someone who posted pretty objectionable and racist things 8 years before they became a British citizen should be deported” and am sure someone will ask Nigel

Did you get something really *nice* for Christmas? Are you saving it?

STOP

Eat it. Slather yourself in it. Spray it on a random wfh Tuesday. Use it next time you have a meal. Make up an occasion and use it.

Whatever it is don't hoard it until it's near its use by date or too precious.

First they decided to strip nursing of its “professional” designation.

Now they’re removing a requirement that ensured nursing homes receiving Medicare or Medicaid funding had an RN available 24/7.

This regime doesn’t care about the elderly & disabled.

This policy change will kill people.
Nursing homes are about to get a lot worse, thanks to Trump and RFK Jr.
We can debate tax policy. We can debate spending priorities. But protecting the elderly should not be a debate at all.

We need to get our arms out of the US machine. Regulate US companies out of our countries. It’s as big a security threat as Russia.
NEW: last night, the US govt launched an assault on the ‘global censorship industrial complex’, aka European tech researchers/campaigners.

It’s a deeply chilling move & speaks as to why we need international solidarity more than ever.
