Just gone through the age assessment dance on here, as a man in his fifties should I be disappointed that it didn't try to flatter me by saying I looked like 28 or something?

Your occasional reminder, if you needed one, that RFK Jr can fuck himself gently with a cetacean-laden chainsaw
RFK Jr. says there are no autistic poets, so we interviewed one.

Hear from Elizabeth McClellan, @popelizbet.bsky.social, an award-winning poet, attorney, and legal educator based in Memphis, Tennessee.
RFK Jr. says there aren't autistic poets. We asked an autistic poet.

We're all taught that Black Thursday marked the beginning of The Great Depression, and as such, we all assume it just kind of happened, was inevitable, and conveniently don't realize the Smoot–Hawley Tariff Act of 1930, raising tariffs on foreign goods by 20% the next year, didn't play a HUGE part.

I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F.

18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it.

We made this website to tell our story:

As someone who has always tinkered with book tracking apps (I am always re-building my personal one) I love this post from Adam at hardcover hardcover.app/pages/book-d...
Also if Goodreads tends to leave a bad taste in your mouth, I highly recommend Hardcover (I'm not affiliated with them at all)
