Just wanna get this out there before it happens, but the Mets moving Ronny Mauricio would be a mistake. Out of all Mets with over 100 ABs as a LHB last season, Mauricio had the third highest slugging and OPS behind Soto and Lindor. Give him regular playing time and see what happens (*only as a LHB)

A Letterman top ten list that is somehow actually real
The Nuzzi story isn't about an affair, it's about the extraordinary corruption, moral stupidity, and cliquishness of elite media. (From the Feed Me Substack.)

We all do deserve better and that's why I'm going to keep asking everyone in Brooklyn to point me to a viable campaign that is going to challenge Jeffries in the primary next year so I can donate time and money to the effort.
Republicans are forcing hospitals, nursing homes and health clinics to close.

People will die.

You deserve better.

Some news: This winter Team Oonee is launching NYC's first Dutch-Style🚲 parking hub in Brooklyn's Sunset Park. The Hub will provide free parking for 100+ bikes/scooters, and will include safe charging, and appt based repairs + lite service. This will make history in several ways.

It's insane how congestion pricing in NYC has been just about *the* most unambiguously successful new policy implemented in my lifetime and still all the dumbest people in government want to get rid of it
Some stats from 100 days in on congestion pricing:
- Complaints about car-honking are down 70%
- The Holland Tunnel has 65% fewer delays at rush hour; time to get thru it is down 48%
- 6 million fewer cars
- Half as many traffic-related injuries
- 1.5 million more visitors to BIDs year over year
How Well Is Congestion Pricing Doing? Very.
One hundred days in, honking is down; bus speeds are up.

Outdoor dining officially starts today. But only 7 (SEVEN!!!) restaurants in the entire city have been approved to serve alcohol outside — no April Fool's joke.

Here's how Eric Adams bungled your happy hour 👇

The people running the federal government hate New York City and want to punish people who live here for (by and large) having views and living lives that they dislike. Any gussied-up justification is working backwards from that desired result

Cc. @govmurphy.bsky.social electrify the coast line
Electric “medium-speed rail” is the sweet spot for many regional transit projects!

Electric multiple unit trains accelerate and stop fast, allowing for shorter headways and more frequency.

Just ask @caltrain.com how their ridership is doing!
